Syrian Army, Hezbollah enter the East Ghouta’s central region after four years: map

AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard and Hezbollah are rolling through the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus, capturing several sites from the extremist rebels of Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jaysh Al-Fustat on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah captured the strategic Military Construction Base at the southern outskirts of Beit Na’am; this paved the way for the government forces to enter the aforementioned village this evening.

Following their entry into the village of Beit Na’am, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah reportedly broke through Faylaq Al-Rahman’s first line of defense at Al-Muhammadiyah, seizing the southern flank of this small East Ghouta town after a violent battle.

As a result of this major advance on Tuesday, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah have finally entered the central region of the East Ghouta, marking the first time in four years that the Syrian government has had any presence in this area.
